The Arts Society Solent, founded in 1983, is a thriving society led by an enthusiastic committee.  Members are attracted from quite some distance away, but naturally centre upon the Solent itself, extending along the coast from Gosport, through Lee on the Solent to Warsash and inland to Bishop’s Waltham, Wickham, Fareham and Titchfield. They have in common an interest in the Decorative and Fine Arts covering painting, sculpture, architecture, furniture, costume, gardens, history and more.

The programme of Lectures (monthly except August) and Special Interest Days offers members an enjoyable social occasion whilst enhancing their existing knowledge. The Committee also organises visits, overseas tours and other events for members.

All TAS Societies subscribe to the aims and objectives of the National Association: the advancement of arts education and appreciation, and the preservation of our artistic heritage.
